Andrew Seid
Senior Consultant
1753 Federal St., Philadelphia, PA 19146
Andrew Seid is a Senior Consultant for MSA Worldwide, a domestic and international franchise advisory firm. After a brief period as a litigator and a transactional lawyer working in franchising, Andrew moved over to the business consultant world when he joined MSA Worldwide, the firm founded by his father, Managing Director Michael Seid.
As Senior Consultant, Andrew works primarily with MSA’s emerging franchisor clients to determine their initial strategy, franchise support structures, and franchisee recruitment efforts. Andrew has worked developing every element of a franchise program, from initial strategy, to drafting manuals and training programs, to awarding and onboarding new franchisees. Andrew has worked to set up dozens of brands with the proper strategy for franchising, and has also guided many other brands towards different growth methods when franchising has been determined to not be the right fit.
Andrew grew up in the franchise industry (he attended his first IFA convention at the age of ten), so he truly believes in Responsible Franchising and is dedicated to helping founders and emerging brands set themselves up to be Good Franchisors, so that the ecosystem of franchising stays healthy and productive.
Andrew earned his BA in business from Franklin & Marshall and his JD from Villanova University School of Law. While as a consultant Andrew is no longer practicing law, he is a member of the bar in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut and regularly attends and speaks at both the American Bar Association’s Forum on Franchising and the IFA’s Legal Symposium. MSA does not provide any legal advice or services for our clients as we are not a law firm; however, Andrew’s legal background is a value add for our clients as they work through franchising’s various legal and regulatory landscapes.
In addition to his other client services at MSA, Andrew works on MSA’s emerging franchisor sales incubator team, which assists clients in both developing their pipeline of potential franchisees and also trains franchisors how to internalize the Franchise Sales Process.
Andrew is certified as a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) from the IFA Education Foundation, and regularly teaches CFE accredited courses at various industry conferences and events. He has also authored several articles on franchising for Franchise Update Media, Franchise Wire, and other industry publications.
Andrew serves on various boards and committees within the International Franchise Association, including the Legal Legislative Committee, the Education Committee, the Membership Committee, and the Social Sector Franchising Task Force.
